You are a PM of a Multi-National Company (MNC). You are top notch and valued for your skill. Your reputation spreads and you are considered a bright spark in the MNC. But recently you got a call from your old friend and he has a fantastic offer for you. A start-up would like you as their General Manager. You are obviously flattered and though the new offer represents an increase in stature as well jump in salary, you are hesitating.
Is it a good idea to join a start up in the current financial crisis situation?
More importantly, what do you prefer" To a small fish in a big pond or a big fish in a small pond?
What do you do?

Think Big, Once should listen to their Gut feeling and take up challenges, it does not matter where you are, what matters is how do you adjust to new circumstances and get through the obstacles
I think it depends on how comfortable you are with the new startup. Do you really believe in the new companies model and what are its future prospects? It's all about weighing the pros and cons objectively.
Please let me know from which company you have got offer? so that we can give you correct opinion.
:D
I am already working for a small(ish) company which has the potential to make it BIG. Fortunately, I have with me some of the best engineers and managers you can find on this side of the world. So, I don't need to make a jump.
